Leaving Great Harbor Cay
The weather is supposed to change here on Sunday so I am planning to leave for the lower Berry Islands tomorrow. I have had a great time here walking and snorkeling on white sandy beaches. Here is a video I shot the other day of us snorkeling in Shark Creek.

Great Harbor Cay
The beach here is unbelievable.White sandy beach and warm water can't be beat. Except the winds are supposed to get up from the east day after tomorrow, so I am on the move down the eastern coastline here in the Berry Islands, including the famous Blue Hole. So the next time I will be able to post will not be until I get to Chubb Cay in a week or so time. BTW I do have a facebook page if your are so inclined........search for Peter Onapua.

Miami to Great Harbor Cay, the Bahamas
Woke up at the crack of dawn Thursday and headed out into a brisk SE wind and rough seas. Sailed NE until the north of Bimini and then motored the rest of the way when the wind died. Customs guy here at the Great Harbor Cay Marina was very nice and chatty. Cost $150 for the 2 months that I will be here. A single dolphin gave me the requisite escort into town.

University Cove to No Name Harbor
Left University Cove here in Miami at first light.
Passing through Miami gives you an idea, how large this metropolus is.
I took a quick walk up to the local grocery store and provisioned for my journey to the Bahamas. I will be leaving first thing in the morning and aiming for Great Harbor Cay in the Berry Islands. Chris Parker and Passage weather both indicate that this weather window will be the only one in this next fortnight.

Miami.......Hurry up and Wait!
Left Pelican Harbour near Delray Beach in perfect conditions.
Wispy clouds and sunny conditions were the order of the day. I passed under a 55' bridge in Fort Lauderdale while I held my breath.
There were several cruising behemoths like this one here, that I passed within feet of.
Miami is so spectacular in its outward appearance, that you can't help being impressed.
And here I sit now, beside the International University of Miami, listening to the kids having fun on the boat next door.

Lake Worth to Delray Beach
Left Lake Worth at daybreak with a gentle easterly and partly cloudy start to the day.
Passed by an impressive wooden sailing boat, "Peacemaker" for sale at the harbour entrance.
Got beat up by rough seas outside, so I turned tail and headed back down the ICW. Have a look at my saloon after my foray outside.
I forgot to latch the starboard berth in place. I got pretty wet yesterday, but today the weather looked good so I didn't wear my wet weather gear. Big mistake. I got drenched through and through and ended up getting cold as well. I gave up when my iPad ran out of juice and refused to charge. Right now, I have my hook down in Pelican Harbour, which is like a small lake with luxurious houses skirting the perimeter. Tomorrow I will try again to get to Miami.

Stuart to Lake Worth, Florida
After a month in Stuart, the boat was yearning to move, so off to warmer climes. Wet and cold for the trip down the ICW today. In fact my Nexus got wet and the microUSB port got fried.
Tomorrow I hope to sail down to Dinner Key in Miami to wait for a weather window to make the jump across the Gulf Stream.
