Catskill, New York

What a great little town with such friendly people. The local coffee Bar, called 394 Main even knew how to make a flat white and it was pretty darn good. There is lots of history here with walking tours to see points of interest.
The town is proud of one of it's early residents, Uncle Sam, who lived here in the early part of the 19th century.
Hurricane Irene in 2011 devastated the town and the marina I am staying in had to be rebuilt with it's restaurant having water over the bar.

I am off today north on my final day on the Hudson River and hopefully make the start of the Erie Canal at a place just north of Albany called Waterford.
