Touring Martinique by car. Day 2

We had another brilliant day driving around Martinique starting first at Le Lorraine up in the north eastern side of the island.
And here is the church of Saint-Hyacinthe of Lorrain
Next we climbed up mount Pelee. It was raining and quite windy at the top.
Now this volcano erupted in 1902 killing 30,000 and destroying the town of St. Pierre on the north west coast.
One interesting thing that happened was that one of the only survivors was a prisoner in the jail here.
Next was the largest city and capital of Martinique,. Fort de France.
It reminded us of New Orleans. The city has a very large fort on the waterfront.
We all finished the day celebrating another one at the Black Pearl.
