Wrightsville Beach

I took a walk down to the beach today and was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and not too crowded with umbrellas and beach paraphernalia. If I didn't know better I would think that it was a university town from the amount of young people here. Anyone that I have met has been very nice to me including the owner of a local fitness centre who lets me use their shower facilities. It doesn't cost me a bean to put my hook down and the grocery store is a pleasant 1.7 mile walk. I would like to stay but there is a favourable wind tomorrow going north so I plan on catching the outgoing tide at the crack of dawn  and going north on the outside rather than on the ICW.
I did use my time productively today, equalizing my deep cycle batteries and checking their water levels. I got myself up to date on washing and also prepared the boat for the big waves that I may encounter tomorrow.

  2. Thanks Lucas. It does take some getting used to I admit. Jumping out of the 9-5 rat race and into cruising is a bit of a culture shock and may take a while to get used to. I am still in the mad rush phase but soon things are going to settle down hopefully. Glad you are coming along with me. How is the sailing coming along? Cheers mate
